The West Orange Trail, is the Orlando area's longest paved
trail. The minimum width is at least 6 feet,
and the current total length is 19 miles. With the
close proximity to Orlando, it is also heavily used,
with over 55,000 people a month. The western end is located
2 miles west of Oakland, at the county line station where
bike and blade rental is available. The northeastern end is
located in Apopka. This is also the end where the
trail will be extended north an additional 11 miles in the
near future. The majority of the trail runs along Lake
Apopka, so it is quite scenic.
